The web site “The Death Penalty Worldwide”, part of “Infoplease: fill the knowledge you need” displays several countries classified according to the permission or not of the death penalty. They can be classified as Death Penalty Outlawed for ordinary crimes before it was outlawed in all cases; the earlier date is given; Death Penalty Outlawed for Ordinary Crimes- It’s allowed only for exceptional crimes, such as crimes committed under military law or in wartime; De Facto Ban on Death Penalty- It’s allowed by law but has not been the practice for ten or more years; and places where the Death Penalty is Permitted. The web site tells us about some statistics according to Amnesty International. During 2005 at least 2,148 people were executed in 22 countries, 94% in China, Saudi Arabia, Iran, and the United States alone. More than 5,186 people were sentenced to death in 53 countries. More than 20,000 prisoners are on death row across the world.

This web site is really interesting; I spent more than an hour looking at many interesting things. You can also know a lot of statistics about American prisons, death row, men freed, and many really interesting things. When you go to this website you can do a rapid analysis of the situation of the countries and their following categories. For example, it’s very easy to see that the only 3 developed countries where the death penalty is permitted are Japan, the USA, and China, while all the other industrialized countries have already banned capital punishment. Also, if you want to kill someone out of your country, you should visit this web site to avoid surprises.

Posters

The website http://www.thelastbestwest.com/authentic_wanted_posters.htm displays many exact replicas of actual wanted posters. They made this web site to sell those replicas. Among those posters, there are Jesse James’s and many others famous criminals like Joaquim Murieta, Sam and Belle Starr, Tom Mixon and many others more. All posters are ~ 11 x 17. You can order them online and pay with your credit card. The Authentic Wanted Posters also gives us a small explanation about how Jesse was shot and killed by Bob Ford.

I don’t particularly like to collect things, especially things that remind us of old stories. But if you like to collect old things, this web site is full of goods for you. Each poster costs about $20.00; they warrant good quality. There are good souvenirs on the website. If you want to have part of the criminal history of the USA, go to this web site and buy these cheap goods and enjoy.

NATIONAL CRIME PREVENTION COUNCIL

I went to NATIONAL CRIME PREVENTION COUNCIL

I went to a website related to preventing crimes. This web site informs us about a lot of things, like publications, training, and news. Through this web site, we can not only read news and buy videos and posters, but also we can take a course on how to protect ourselves from different kinds of crime. There are experts in crime prevention on the web site. The main kinds of crime that the web site lists and teaches us how to be prevented are: Senior Fraud, Bully prevention, Identity Theft, Internet Safety, Take a Bite Out of Cyber Crime, and Neighborhood Involvement. If you don’t want to enter through the web site, you can go to 1000 Connecticut Avenue, NW Thirteenth floor Washington, DC 20036, or call (202) 466-6272.

More important than enforcing the legislation, increasing the police number, making more severe punishment, and everything else related to crime, is preventing the crime. If you can know a lot about how to be away from some kinds of crime, you have to be. It’s crucial to have some preventing services, even if they are online services. You shouldn’t wait until you learn with your own failure. you have to learn before some things happen with you, that is, you have to be protected always.

Snow Falling on Cedars

I’m reading the book Snow Falling on Cedars, by David Guterson. The story is set in Amity Harbor, around 1954, after WW II when Carl Heine (a German) is found dead and Kabuo Myiamoto (a Japanese) is accused to kill him. The book not only tells us about the Kabuo’s trail, but also how the people are connected since their childhood.
Hatsue Imada is a beautiful Japanese girl, who is married to Kabuo. Hatsue now is living without her husband because he is in trial. He is accused to kill Carl Heine.Hatsue used to love Ishmael when she was young, and now he is watching the trail. Hatsue is my favorite character because, beyond her beauty, she is honest and shy. Since she has this kind of personality, I like her. She was chosen as a strawberry princess. I like shy girls, principally if they is honest and do things that they really want to do. Also I have to confess that I like her because of her Asian beauty inside and outside too.

I went to http://www.southernillinoisan.com/articles/2006/07/15/top/16932824.txt

This reading is about an online article written by Andrea Hahn, of the Southern. It talks about a homicide that happened in the West Walnut Street, also known as Illinois 13 East in Carbondale, IL. Ryan Livingston, a 22-year-old Carterville man was stabbed and died in the hospital later. When the guy was found, he could tell some things to the policemen. There is not only this, but also more articles that can inform you about many things.

At present, many people don’t spend their time reading newspaper, so the website with news about the region is very important. You can read news while you look at pictures of the last party you went to, or while you wait for someone to get online in your messenger. You’ve got to help the policemen to find the suspects. If you find them, you can be in touch with the Carbondale Police Department at (618) 457-3200 or the Carbondale Crime Stoppers anonymous tipline at (618) 549-COPS.

FBI's top ten most wanted fugitives

This is a web site to keep the people informed about the official FBI ten most wanted fugitives. This web site was constructed by the FBI. There is a lot of information about the fugitives like age, pictures, where they are from, even in many languages, which makes it easier for people who don’t know English. The web site informs us about the reward for each wanted. Beyond information about the top ten wanted fugitive, the it links to the official FBI’s web site; you can sign in to read and learn more about the FBI.

It’s important to have this kind of service to keep the people informed, because if you see a dangerous person walking on the street you won’t know he is dangerous and wanted, but if you have seen his picture before, you can be able to recognize him and you can even know why the person is being wanted, and the best, you can be rich in just a few seconds. If you don’t want to work hard, just pack your bag and go to places where you guess the fugitives can be. If you cannot read English information, there are many options of languages to make your search easier. Be ready and good luck.
